May Edition of WorldRadio Online is Live On the Web

You're invited to check out the May 2011 edition of WorldRadio Online magazine. It's posted free on the Web and is full of great news and features. For example, our cover story recounts the tale of Carl Mosley's trip to California in the 1950s to demonstrate his "new" TA-33 beam - and what happened to that antenna. The headline gives a hint: "A Piece of Antenna History is Still Flying High." For the whole story and lots more, visit: < http://www.WorldRadiomagazine.com >.

High Stakes Radio Activity As NASCAR Roars At Talladega

If you think NASCAR 2-way radio is the exclusive domain of drivers and crew chiefs, think again.

Check out AP National Writer Paul Newberry's story, Expect plenty of radio chatter at Talladega, revealing the high-stakes deals that take place on the airwaves during races such as today's (April 17) Aaron's 499. It's part of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race in Talladega, Alabama.

"Offers will be made. Agreements reached. Whoever plays 'Let's Make A Deal' the best is likely to take the checkered flag," he says.
